Fr. Vidrine installed as Pastor

On Saturday, August 19, 2017 - the 100th anniversary of the 4th apparition of Our Lady of Fatima - Fr. Vidrine was installed as Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church by Fr. Louis Richard, the Dean of the West Deanery. Fr. Vidrine was assisted at the Holy Mass by Deacon Cody Miller and Deacon Joshua LeBlanc. During his homily, Fr. Vidrine noted his joy to be able to serve Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Redemptorist Catholic School. He also noted the significance of the Centennial Year of Our Lady of Fatima's apparitions we're observing, and that a substantial part of Our Lady of Fatima's message is devotion to her Immaculate Heart and that she said - among other things - "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God" and also "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph." He concluded his homily by consecrating the Parish to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart like St. John Vianney, the Cure' of Ars, with a small heart shaped locket containing the names of all the Parishioners hung around the neck of her statue in the church. Fr. Vidrine thanked all who assisted at the Holy Mass, the Parish's Choir for providing the Sacred Music, and all who helped to prepare the reception that followed. Please keep Fr. Vidrine in your prayers as he serves Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Redemptorist Catholic School.
